I saw two weird-interesting things today!

1. I was at Marine Parade Lib studying, when suddenly B-U-R-P!! erupted, breaking the still silence. Everyone turned around to see the culprit. It was this Malay man with a really huge globe-like protruding stomach. He did not even have the decency to act guilty. Anyway, in the span of 45 minutes, he added 3 or 4 more. I do not know if this is a prank or not, but he definitely does not adhere to social norms. Thankfully for him, they did not throw him out. However, I question his motives for being in the library – he was not reading a book at all!

2. I was sending my friend home and I passed Geylang. There was a raid in one of those sleazy nightclubs. All the old ah peks were standing outside the joint waiting to be questioned. I bet it must be a big embarrassment for them! Oh well, serves them right for going there in the first place.

Anyway, here is one interesting sociological fact.
Prostitution actually saves the marriages. I think that is why in Singapore, prostitution is legalized.
