That was the funniest conversation i had tonight.

Yes! I managed to find "Breakfast in Tiffany's" today. It was the most romantic and touching show i ever watch. Audrey Hepburn is SO pretty and the dresses she wore are so retro yet so chic! There was a scene in which she wanted to show that she did not need to love anyone or belonged anyone. To prove her actions, she released her cat into the pouring rain. I don't know why, but this scene really touched me. Thankfully, the fear of belonging was removed when he threw a cracker's ring engraved by Tiffany at her. Happy ending. period.

Roch & Mark: I'm really sorry if there was a misuderstanding but I was rushing to the car park as the shop was closing and that was the only way i know to get there. Besides that, i did not mastermind anything that night. There wasn't any mention of supper or anything like that and I thought u probably want to go back since you had to work the next day. We are not leaving the both of you out or anything like that and we do not discriminate the both of you. Please do not be upset.

Just got back from watching the Phantom of the Opera. Overall, I feel that the movie is great! Definately, the sound effects/ music was nothing comparable to the real thing. However, visually, the movie was able to transport us to scenes that would prove to be a challenge if it was a musical. It would be interesting to see how they present it in a theatre. The music sung was terrific and the dancers were well choreographed and in sync with the music.

On lighter and bimbotic matters, everywhere seemed to have sale! FCUK shirts are going for 50% off! Well, I couldn’t resist buying one and set my eyes on two others, which unfortunately are not on sale. Oh well. Lets hope sale hit those two shirts too! (:

11:58 PM

It's been quite a while since i last blogged. Seems like quite a lot of things happened.

Monday: Met up with Mei Yin and Yingli for dinner and dessert. We went to this chocolate shop at esplanade for dessert (which i can't remember the name). We had suckao, waffles, crepe and strawberry white chocolate milkshake (yup tats the name of it!). That resulted in my sore throat and other illnesses becoming stronger.

Wed: Had a bet with sheena not to engage in two of my favourite vices. The stakes are either gelare / cartel dinner. Thank god for next yr's thurs 8am lect man!

Thurs: Potluck over with dolus people. Roch n markie finally announced their relationship. It was hilarious to see everyone's expression after tat happened. That probably could explain why everyone was rather quiet that night. Everyone was in shock! haha. Anyway just want to say happy for u guys and mark: u better treat her right!!
The amusement was further extended when we exchanged presents. We seemed to have redefined the word 'random'. Almost everyone had to exchange with a person of the opposite sex. Jasmine got fooled into thinking i bought a thong and was petrified when mark was opening the present. After those who had to leave, left, we headed to ecp. We had a couple rounds of 'interrogations'; we just sat around stoning before we headed back to my place.
Feeling hungry, we attacked the left over green jelly. To finish up the remaining food, we played 'zhong ji mi ma' and some concentration game. Well, Roch and Erin pretty much had their stomach filled for that night. After one tub of jelly and 19 pieces of cake, we headed to lala-land and awaken up by mark’s realization that it was 1245pm the next day.

Friday: Dinner at thriple 3 – Mandrine Hotel
The food was no different from the ordinary day servings but my aunty paid like twice the price! Later in the night, my aunty and I went to good Shepard church for midnight mass. The choir was fantastic and we had the arch- bishop Nicholas Chia to preach. (Yes! This is melissa’s blog!). Anyway on the way home from sending my aunty, I heard 'That’s what friends are for' by the Singapore Idols which reminded me so much of that time we sang it.

Saturday: Christmas!
I was forced to wake up early to collect food for my mom. Apparently, one of the dishes was a one-foot long salmon. People started coming in at noon. It was one boring day of entertaining. Thankfully, I managed to sneak out of the house later in the evening with Clarissa and Brandon. However, being aimless and lacking of cute guys in the area, we returned and promptly fell asleep. When the last guest left at 11p.m, the day was pretty much over! Everyone was rather tired out by the day’s events and turned in for the night.

That's about it for the week.. Too tired to continue this entry.. probably continue it tmr. Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas!

7:23 PM

An hour of sleep and lots of germs to create discomfort. A cankerous mood that was ready to unleash its tongue on its aggravator. A curse on the evil spirit for spreading the germs. A room full of Stepford acting wives to make the day worse. No clinics open on a Saturday afternoon. An email made all the little things insignificant.

Life is a big joke!

First I gotten my ipod mini on wed and yesterday i found out that the new ipod mini that will be launched next mth is of 6GB instead of the 4GB i bought!!For the same price!! One day difference can make such a big impact!! How annoying is that?!?!

Secondly, I have decided to quit alcohol and clubbing (yes, you are not reading wrongly) and I was sent invites to 3 events this week - One pair to an exclusive club, one pair to a free flow and one pair for free entry. I am a nut to reject all three.. but a healthy nut at least.

This is ridiculous!

Anyway,
Mei Yin: hey babe! thanks for the movie! Hope monday's still on..
Alana: Happy Birthday!!!
Dolus: the potluck is 23rd not 22nd. Heard there was abit of confusion. Can we come to a compromise on the exchanging of present asap?
Melvin: Yup go ahead, bring the cake!

- Contented -

I have just eaten a hearty breakfast and watched the sunrise at east coast park with Jennifer and Tara. What a great way to start the week! The sun rise was beautiful! The sky was a blend of different shades of blue melting the the dark colours of the sea that was lit from the lights of the sea. Although we gained goosebumps due to the exchange of ghost stories while waiting for the sun to rise, it was certainly a delightful morning! I shall head to la~la~ land now and try to wake up to meet Mei Yin for a movie later.

With clothes, the new are the best; with friends the old are the best.
Chinese proverb

strange i didnt know such chinese proverb exists. well these few days im working with young people like ages around 9 to 17. and let's just say it's really rejuvenating. the energy and zest they have is really amazing.

wed i went to the zoo with the kampong arang kids. kampong arang is a designated area that our church has been set aside to do community works. and the kids there are mostly not as fortunate. i wasnt exactly looking forward to the trip. initially all i wanted was sleep! was super tired. but i guess it was their enthusiasm that touched me. haha they kept calling jie jie sheena come here please and with their little fingers they held my hand. it was fun. i became a kid for a day. and it felt really good. i mean somehow you just forget bout your worries and just let go. they are really cute!!! there's this kid dan i think primary4 whenever he felt a drizzle he will take out his umbrella and start exclaiming "i think i better use the umbrella" haha just for a drop leh. he's super cute lah.

today i was doing decor for my youth hall in preparation for the coming seeker service on saturday. at first i thought i was just helping out but last min my youth leader ask me to take charge of it. wah last min then tell me lor and everything is so messy. tomorrow i have to piah for decor liaoz.

anyway i got help from the younger ones and im super thankful for all of them. really. and today was fun too! we started turning the music up in the youth hall, nigel playing with the lights and we started jumping around. haha it's really nice to be young again..

10:02 PM

hey you guys! every thing's fine after last night. its all been thrashed out already. Really thankful and appreciative for all your concern. love you all!

12:57 PM

I'm back!
Firstly i like to say that my liver did not spoil. I did not drink the amount of alcohol that i think i would have drunk. Thankfully! This leads me to my second point. I drove back most of the way to singapore from kl because my friends was drunk. Driving on the kl highway was fantastic! It'll never be the same driving on Singapore roads. To be able to drive in a mercedes S320 at a speed of 160km/h was another bonus. haha. Oh the mecedes was like a computer! there were so many buttons and gadgets in it. I acted rather 'swa-kuly'.
Melvin: hey hey~ Cheer up ok! Hope you feel better soon!

Rochelle: no mini cooper for me to drive and irritate you. haha. but anyway his is manual. Congrats on passing ur final theory. Hope your practical would be as successful as this final theory test - get between 10 - 18 points! muahaha!

Erin: Happy 19th Birthday. Sorry can't make it for dinner tonite at chomp chomp. Hope you had a great time!

Xuan: Hope you have recovered from your illness! Take care!

5:26 PM

i think i'm hooked to blogging.

first things first, YAY!!!!!!!!!! the frigging EXAMS are OVER! (note the caps)

Took me alot of restraint not to drink tonight while everyone at the table was. I was the only fool that was drinking COKE. haha. I'm feeling proud that I am the one not drinking and the only one that could say no. besides that, the only one that could get home safely.

Next i want to extend my apologies to dolus for not being able to attend friday's sentosa as i'll be taking a road trip up to kl from friday to sunday. Sorry.

Rochie: hang in there, freedom's just a breath away. I know u probably wont have the mood to study (because i didn't) but trust me, you wanna. haha oh well good luck!

Too sleepy to think of whats next to say. TO be continued...
